Hawkeye Brownie

"Brownie" was the name of a brand of very simple, inexpensive cameras manufactured by the Eastman-Kodak company. The most popular of these cameras was the Brownie 127 (1952-67). The design was invented by George Eastman who marketed the product for the low, low price on $1. Brownie cameras transformed the world by making cheap, simple photography available to almost anyone. It served as a "gateway" camera to more expensive models.
