Beauty in photography is different for each person. I am personally drawn to composition for to two thirds and with very different lights and darks. Things that are 'ugly' in real life are different through the lens. In photography or eyes are drawn to texture, lights, focus and composition. While ugly, an interesting object can transform. A rusted bike an enrapturing image. An awkward moment pulls the viewer in. A silly face a moment of humanistic beauty.
